FAITH Lyrics

Written and sung by Jill Dawson
(c) 2009 Jill Dawson, Pickle House Media Music

VERSE
Babe, the way you worry.
Don't look like yourself these days.
The walls have crumbled down on you.
And your eyes are weary
by the tears they made
Don't go waving that white flag.

PRECHORUS
Cuz.. Brick by brick the path is laid for tomorrow
Just hold on and don't let go.

CHORUS
Don't you know it will all come together some day.
You got to know it will all be okay
You just got to have
Faith, Faith

VERSE
Babe, I know you're lonely
Beggin not to suffocate
on the weights pulling you down.
But with every shadow, well a light does shine
So, don't be giving up the fight

PRECHORUS
Cuz.. brick by brick the path is laid for tomorrow.
Just hold on and don't let go.

CHORUS
Don't you know it will all come together some day
You got to know it will all, it will all be okay
You just got to have
Faith, Faith

BRIDGE
Faith to get you through the darkest tomorrow
Faith to get you through and not let go.

CHORUS
Don't you know it will all come together someday
You got to know, it will all, it will all, be okay
You just got to have
Faith, Faith

FAITH

I wrote FAITH early this year, as way to not only comfort myself during a hard time, but mostly to comfort those I love who were facing challenge in their lives. Some were facing unimaginable suffering, and others facing challenges less piercing, but still dealing with stress and worry. Some close to me commented that I seldom write "love" songs. To me, this song is a love "conduit" as I wrote it with the intent to provide some compassion and respite to anyone struggling with hardship.
